This was a piece I created over the course of 4 weeks halftime. This piece was inspired by two different ends of my hometown, Malmö. The older streets of "Gamla Väster", combined with a falafel place from "Möllevångstorget", the more raw and pulsating part of the city. I wanted to challenge myself by trying to capture what makes these two cultures different from each other, and try to merge them together in one coherent piece.
All of the assets and textures were created by me, with an exception of the bike to the far right, which was created by talented environment artist Philip Hylén ( www.philiphylen.artstation.com ).
The scene is rendered in real time in Unreal Engine 4.
The piece was put together with the help of feedback and tips from my fellow students and teachers at The Game Assembly, in which I studied Game Graphics during the course of which this piece was done. You can read more about my fellow students and the school itself (in swedish) here: https://www.thegameassembly.com/
